Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Liz Allen will visit Paris June 20-21 in support of the Department’s historic efforts to bring the World’s Fair back to the United States for the first time in almost 40 years.
On June 20, Under Secretary Allen will engage a range of media to make a closing case for Minnesota to host the 2027 Specialized World Expo. On June 21, she will lead the Department’s delegation to the Bureau International des Expositions’ General Assembly meeting for the vote. While in Paris, Under Secretary Allen also will meet with Mission France leadership and public diplomacy teams.
With the theme of “Healthy People, Healthy Planet: Wellness and Wellbeing for All,” the proposed U.S. Expo in Minnesota offers the world an unrivaled chance to convene critical conversations around global health and sustainability, and to expand economic opportunities for all.
