Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will chair and deliver remarks at a UN Security Council open debate on famine and conflict-induced global food insecurity at 10:00 a.m. EDT Thursday, August 3, from UN Headquarters in New York City. The Secretary will also have a meeting with United States Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield while he is in New York.
At the Rockefeller Foundation, the Secretary will lead a roundtable discussion on food security and the Vision for Adapted Crops and Soils alongside agricultural leaders from the public and private sectors.
UN-accredited members of the press are invited to cover the open debate in person from the UN Security Council press boxes. Space is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
