Special Presidential Advisor Dodd Travels to Costa Rica

Special Presidential Advisor (SPA) for the Americas Christopher J. Dodd will travel to Costa Rica June 11-13 to discuss plans for the next Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity Summit hosted by Costa Rica.  In Costa Rica, SPA Dodd will meet with Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves Robles, members of his cabinet, and with other counterparts to discuss the Americas Partnership Summit in 2025.  The upcoming Summit will follow through on commitments made by President Biden at the inaugural Americas Partnership Leaders’ Summit in November 2023.  Additional senior U.S. officials who will accompany SPA Dodd include Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs at the National Security Council Daniel Erikson, Senior Coordinator for the Americas Partnership at the Department of State Ambassador Lisa Kubiske, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs Kevin Sullivan.

The Americas Partnership founding countries are Barbados, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, the United States, and Uruguay.
