Fulton Books author Anna Mitchell-Cannone, who was born and raised in the Midwest, has completed her most recent book "The Tales of Duke and Ash: Coming Home": an engaging children's story that introduces Ash, whose future is up in the air.
Desperate for a family of his own, Ash is stuck living a sad, lonely life as an outcast. Bravery, courage, and friendship are what he needs most right now. Will his circumstances change? Will he be stuck forever, scared and looking for love?
Author Anna Mitchell-Cannone and her husband, William, adopted their two dogs, Killian and Lycan, who became the inspiration for Duke and Ash.
Anna is a speech pathologist who works mostly with the pediatric population. She loves to incorporate children's books into her therapy sessions to facilitate literacy skills. After reading so many of them with her clients, she decided to write her own book. She wanted a story geared toward individuals who may feel they are not accepted as they are or who have joined new families.
Author Anna Mitchell-Cannone writes, "A pack of older dogs came to check me out. They must have not liked what they found because they turned and walked away. When I asked to join their pack, the big dog growled, telling me to stay away."
Published by Fulton Books, Anna Mitchell-Cannone's book invites readers to discover whether Ash will finally gain a family.
Readers who wish to experience this original work can purchase "The Tales of Duke and Ash: Coming Home" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
