ALPHARETTA, Ga., May 4, 2023 (Newswire.com) - Music Heals, a 501(c)(3), is hosting its second annual benefit concert for Hop On A Cure, a foundation formed by John Driskell Hopkins (founding member of Zac Brown Band) and his wife Jen benefiting the fight against ALS. The outdoor concert and artist meet-and-greet will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 4-11 p.m. in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Music Heals, founded by Debbie Schultz and Stephanie Lowery, is on a mission to bring together people who have a love of music and a desire to make a difference in their communities. Through events like its upcoming concert, Music Heals strives to provide healing and support through the power of music.
"In an instant, a song takes me back to a moment that might otherwise have been forgotten," said co-founder Debbie Schultz. "It's the closest thing to time travel that exists. And in a world where it seems like everything's changed — the power of music hasn't. After all these years, it still brings people together who have nothing in common to do so much — like heal."
"I wanted to join forces with Debbie to create Music Heals, because there was a time in my life when I was sick and I needed a village," said co-founder Stephanie Lowery. "And when someone is down, it's our duty to step in and support in whatever capacity we can. That's why we created Music Heals."
Featured music artists include Blackberry Smoke, John Driskell Hopkins Band, Yesterday's Wine featuring Levi Lowrey & Wyatt Durrette, James Otto, Kristian Bush, Mutlu and Lilly Winwood. The concert will also feature a series of local food trucks and a full bar — provided in part by corporate sponsor Totem Solutions (Alpharetta, Georgia). Tickets are currently available for purchase by visiting musicheals.life.
