Today, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen met with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to discuss key aspects of the U.S.-Mexico economic relationship, including how both countries can take advantage of stronger economic integration. They reviewed the Treasury’s strong collaboration with Mexico’s finance ministry on shared priorities, including strengthening information sharing to combat illicit finance and measures to protect both countries’ national security through bolstering their critical supply chains.
