Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard R. Verma will travel to Atlanta, Georgia, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and San Jose, Costa Rica December 11-14. Â In Atlanta, he will underscore U.S. anti-corruption priorities at the U.S.-hosted tenth session of the Conference of the States Parties (COSP) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). Â While in Atlanta he will also visit the Carter Center and Atlanta Passport center. Â In Rio de Janeiro, he will meet with Afro-Brazilian leaders in politics, education, and media and U.S. Consulate staff. Â Last, in San Jose he will lead the U.S. delegation for the inaugural meeting of the U.S.-Costa Rica High Level Strategic Dialogue on security, migration, and economic cooperation and meet with President Rodrigo Chaves and Foreign Minister Arnoldo Andre.
