Special Representative Hachigian’s Travel to Louisville and Chattanooga

Special Representative for City and State Diplomacy Ambassador Nina Hachigian will travel to Louisville, KY, and Chattanooga, TN, April 8–10.

In Louisville, Ambassador Hachigian will take part in Mayor Craig Greenberg’s Global Engagement Day proclamation ceremony and ensuing press conference.  She and Mayor Greenberg will also attend a roundtable event hosted by the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC).  Ambassador Hachigian will then conduct site visits with three locally-based nonprofits.

In Chattanooga, Ambassador Hachigian will participate in another roundtable hosted by USGLC along with Mayor Tim Kelly.  She will then visit Chattanooga State Community College to speak with students on the importance of citizen diplomacy.

The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition is a nonprofit organization of U.S.-based businesses, nongovernmental organizations, foreign policy and national security experts, and faith-based and civil society leaders.  It promotes increased support for diplomatic ties between the United States and foreign communities.
