While in Belgrade, Serbia, Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy Liz Allen signed a memo of understanding May 15, 2024, for the American Resource Center (ARC) at Ložionica, a new flagship American Space in Serbia.
The signing took place during Under Secretary Allen’s visit to the site of the future center, Ložionica, an urban renewal project with world-class facilities that will focus on innovation and creativity, where she was joined by Speaker of the National Assembly Ana Brnabic. A multi-use venue, the ARC will offer resources, classes, workshops, lectures, and opportunities for regional engagement events such as conferences and trainings.
The ARC will be the U.S. Embassy’s premier venue for cultural and educational programs and will lead the nine American Spaces in Serbia to build scale and scope of our public engagement in Serbia with the long-term goal of elevating people-to-people ties between the United States and Serbia.
